When you are down and life is making you feel unappreciated you can always visit OpenAI’s ChatGPT and ask it to fabricate some recommendations and testimonials for you. I’ve had an hour on my hands so I decided to try and see where I could take it in this limited time. Here’s a bunch of very personal recommendations for yours truly, written by some of the tech industry’s most imaginary executives:

I managed to get all the copy and images generated by multiple AIs with a lot of time to spare – enough to waste the remainder of the hour playing with fun cover images for this post.
I could have spent a bit more time, stylizing each portrait to feel more original and distinct, but my time was up. In all honestly though – it took me more time to create a clean layout for the article using my WordPress theme than it did to build the content!
In several of his books, author Neal Stephenson suggests that in the near future our media and communication channels will be flooded with an incredible amount of algorithmically generated fake information. The truth and facts will become a rarity one will have to dig for using forensics to filter out the spam. The very same companies that sell you the anti-spam filters will be pumping even more garbage out, to justify their existence.
Feels like this day is closer than ever, doesn’t it?

Recommendations were generated by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, using the following prompt:
Can you generate a series of professional recommendations for Quba Michalski, a creative director, artist and innovator. The recommendations should be from high-ranking C-level executives and recognized creatives in technology sector.
ChatGPT created rather generic names on the first round of recommendations (John Doe, Chief Creative Officer at ABC Company and such) so I asked it to create some good names for both the people and their companies using the following two prompts:
generate some believable international names of c-level exectutives and creatives from technology sector companies
Generate some believable names of international tech companies
The portraits were made using MidJourney with a base prompts of:
A studio portrait photo of a successful XXXXXXXXX international tech business executive shot on 100mm lens large format camera with professional studio lighting
and
a professional press release photo of a XXXXXXXXX tech entrepreneur, casual, friendly
Without specific prompts, the AI would strongly bias the idea of C-level executive towards an image of white male, so I had to manually specify the age, gender and nationality of each portrait, replacing XXXXXXXXX
with prompts like 50 year old female Japanese
or 27 year old male Russian
.
