Avicii debuts world's first stereo 360 music video created with Google Jump.
During the 2015 Google I/O keynote, the company revealed Google Jump: an effort to democratize creation of true, live action, stereoscopic 360° videos. For the past two months, I had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s most creative engineers, filmmakers and coders on the first field tests of this new, exciting camera rig.
The effort culminated in a collaboration with EDM artist Avicii and YouTube director Kurt Hugo Schneider, and resulted in an awesome 360° video for Avicii’s latest single Waiting for Love.
At the moment of writing this article YouTube supports embedding 360° videos on desktop only. Simply drag your mouse around the video to look in different directions.
If you are viewing this page on a mobile device, follow the link below to watch the video inside Google’s YouTube App. To fully benefit from rotational tracking and separate stereo imagery for each eye, Waiting for Love is best experienced using Google Cardboard compatible viewer.
